About The Department

The School of Social Sciences, a Department of the Punjabi University, was established from the academic year 2012-13 Bachelor in Social Sciences (Honours)’ Students are prepared with requisite knowledge and skills to meet the challenges of the new order. The department caters to the needs of students to achieve goals of higher education and keep well-informed of the latest developments in their specific subjects. Our emphasis is to develop top administrators for the Government and Private sectors. The School has also built up adequate infrastructure and resources to support the students in their pursuit of excellence. The students have been activated to get a feel of team work in administration. The regular academic and other activities are going on to enrich them.

ਵਿਭਾਗ ਬਾਰੇ

ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦਾ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਸਕੂਲ ਆਫ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਸਾਇੰਸਜ਼ 2012-13 ਤੋਂ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਬੀ.ਏ.(ਆਨਰਜ) ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਸਾਇੰਸਿਜ਼ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਲੋੜਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਾਣ ਦਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਲੋੜੀਂਦਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਹਾਰਤ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਉਲਰਾਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਚੇਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੱਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਾਰਣ ਲਈ ਉਸਾਰੂ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਉਪਲੱਬਧ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਉਚੇਰੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸ਼ਕ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ। ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਿਖੇ ਲੋੜੀਂਦਾ ਸਾਜੋ ਸਮਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁਲੰਦੀਆਂ ਉਪਰ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਸਕਣ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਟੀਮ ਵਰਕ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਣ। ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਅਮੀਰ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਉਪਲਬੱਧ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਾ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ 10+2 ਵਿੱਚ ਉਚੇਰੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਸਾਇੰਸਿਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪਲਬੱਧੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦੇ ਇਮਤਿਹਾਨਾਂ, ਜੋ UPSC ਜਾਂ PPSC ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਦੇ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
